A German company took a fancy to the development prospects of glass beads. With a huge investment in the early stage, a glass bead production project is currently underway in Africa and the Arab region. The construction method of the project comes from the German Weissker Group. The project is very promising by the industry and will promote the advancement of the glass bead industry. The investment in the project is approximately US$56 million and will bring 350 jobs. Mainly used for export, it ranks third in the world and its production capacity has increased from 60,000 tons to 200,000 tons. The project is divided into several steps. The first phase of the project will focus on recycling glass from Europe and Tunisia, and use the recycled glass in the second phase of glass beads production. Gabes was chosen because of its unique investment environment, such as geographical location, commercial ports, convenient aviation conditions, and skilled workers. Looking forward to the start of this project, it will be able to produce more exquisite glass beads, which can drive and promote the progress of glass beads.
